Starbucks Piñata
When your niece says she wants a
Starbucks piñata, you make it happen!
I was on the hunt! I went to several carnicerias, dulcerias, Party City & even Walmart! Piñatas of all kinds; Paw Patrol, Baby Shark, Mickey, & even a poop emoji, but no Starbucks piñatas… *Insert nervous chuckle*
How the heck am I supposed to make a piñata!?
I’m walking down the party aisle at Walmart, feeling so defeated, when I saw it… Pushed back behind some other busted piñatas, there she was! A beat up, CUPCAKE! I saw it and envisioned my next project.
ITEMS USED:
Hot Glue | Kraft Paper | Toilet Paper Roll | Green Acrylic Paint | Green & White Cardstock | Cricut Explore Air 2
I started by bunching up little ~2″x2″ squares of the kraft paper and hot-glued them onto the bottom part of the cupcake.
Then I made sure to snag the next toilet paper roll before it went into the trash. Painted that sucker with green paint to mimic the straw and (once dried) hot-glued that to the top of the cupcake.
Lastly, I found a free Starbucks logo SVG file and let my Cricut do the rest. I glued the cut-out cardstock together and then glued that to the bottom of the cupcake.
Voilà! A Starbucks Piñata!
$7.88 and a bunch of hot glue later, we had ourselves a happy 10-year-old who got her birthday piñata!
