Stuffed Mushrooms
I won’t bore you with my novel long story on how I had an eye-opening experience that brought me to this recipe. Here it is, stuffed mushrooms! Makes for the perfect appetizer for the mushroom lover in your life! Enjoy!
Ingredients:
-
-
1 lb Mushrooms
-
Spinach (optional)
-
1 pack Cream Cheese
-
Shredded Parmesan
-
Salt
-
Garlic Powder
-
Instructions:
1. Time to clean the mushrooms! Start by detaching the bottoms of the mushrooms and set those aside. Wash the mushroom caps and bottoms. Set the cream cheese out so it can begin to soften.
2. Mince the mushroom bottoms.
3. Place the mushroom tops upside down on a foil-lined baking tray and preheat your oven to 425°F.
4. Using a medium sized sauté pan, heat up 1 tbsp butter (or oil, whichever you prefer) and sweat the minced mushroom bottoms.
5. Add the spinach to the pan and sauté.
6. Add the cream cheese to the pan, melting it down and season with salt and garlic powder.
7. Using a spoon, fill the mushroom caps with your stuffing.
8. Top the stuffed mushrooms with shredded parmesan cheese.
9. Place tray into the oven and bake for about 30-45 minutes. A good indicator that the mushrooms have been baked thoroughly is when the stuffing has a golden color to it.
10. Transfer caps to a serving tray and we’re done! Yummy appetizer that everyone will love!
