Stuffed Jalapeños
I won’t bore you with my novel long story on how I had an eye-opening experience that brought me to this recipe. Here it is, stuffed jalapeños! Makes for the perfect appetizer for the spicy lover in your life! Enjoy!
Ingredients:
-
-
15-20 Jalapeños
-
Beef Chorizo
-
1 pack of Cream Cheese
-
Turkey Bacon
-
Instructions:
This dish requires some prep time; however, it’s quick going once we get all the components ready!
1. Get your baking sheet ready, lined with foil, and preheat your oven to 375°F. Set the cream cheese out to begin softening.
{Optional: Cut the turkey bacon strips in half. I do this so I only have to buy one pack!}
2. Time to prep the jalapeños! I recommend wearing gloves… Start by washing them under water and removing the stems. Cut them in half, long ways.
{Optional: Use a spoon to scoop out the seeds to help make them less spicy.}
3. Sauté the chorizo in a medium-sized pan. Add the cream cheese, stirring it in as it melts. Remove from the heat when the cream cheese is thoroughly melted.
4. Using a spoon, scoop up a portion of the chorizo cream cheese and fill one jalapeño half.
5. Take a piece of turkey bacon and wrap it around the stuffed jalapeño, securing it down with a toothpick if necessary.
Place it on your foil-lined baking sheet.
6. Repeat steps 4 and 5. Bake them for about 45 minutes, or until the turkey bacon is fully cooked.
7. Transfer the jalapeños to a serving tray, and we’re done! Yummy appetizer that everyone will love!
